Leading set of barristers’ chambers are looking for an HR Business Partner to provide high quality operational and strategic support and advice across the organisation; together with supporting the implementation of the People Strategy aligned to business objectives.
This is a new role, but a selection of duties include:
- People business partnering support, advice and guidance
- Talent acquisition, talent management and career development
- Equality, diversity inclusion and well being
- Supporting and coaching to facilitate effective people and performance management
- Facilitating implementation of people strategy and managing projects
- Administration of employee lifecycle processes ranging from the new starter process - issuing contractual documentation; undertaking pre-employment, and Safeguarding checks; facilitating Health & Safety inductions etc.; and processing leavers
- Collating annual reviews
- Advising on employee relations cases, e.g., monitoring absence, capability, and performance; disciplinary and grievances; etc. whilst assessing emerging or ongoing issues such as adverse references and checks.
It is essential that you are CIPD qualified and have strong generalist HR Business Partner experience, ideally in the legal sector (chambers or law firm) but they may also consider an HR professional coming from a corporate / professional services background. Ideally you will have considerable working knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusiveness and experience of workforce and resource planning.
