McKinlay Kidd is an employee‑owned tour operator providing tailor‑made holidays across the UK and Ireland. The Marketing & Content Executive will support the Marketing department, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods and managing ongoing marketing activities that drive the public‑facing communications of the business, such as the website, social media posts, and customer journey content.
Responsibilities
- Develop, create, and manage marketing activities across various channels, including the website, social media, and email marketing.
- Collaborate with external support agencies on paid advertising, website support, automated email processes, and brand initiatives.
- Support strategy development across the marketing mix, including PR, events, and digital advertising.
- Work with in‑house Business Analysis to produce regular marketing performance reports to guide future campaigns.
- Manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), create content, and analyze performance.
- Oversee email marketing: weekly campaigns, automated customer journey content, and database management.
- Update and maintain website content and CMS (WordPress), create new pages, and coordinate with web support agency.
- Act as point of contact for journalist database and develop press releases.
- Organize and maintain the marketing budget and manage incoming invoices.
- Support the organisation of trade and brand promotional events.
- Assist the Marketing Manager with strategy development and launch of new holiday products.
- Provide monthly marketing board reports with clear commentary.
- Engage with Sales Team to identify customer trends and inform communication content.
- Ensure accurate and timely loading of information across operational systems and the website.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hands‑on marketing experience.
- Experience with databases, digital asset management systems, and email broadcast systems.
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Strong content creation skills and social media channel management.
- Experience in website/CMS management – WordPress.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of GDPR legislation and data hygiene practices.
- Organised, able to multi‑task, plan, and prioritise work.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
