We offer tailormade and experience‑led holidays throughout Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and the Channel Islands, from road trips to small group rail tours. Our customers are predominantly older, well‑educated and well‑travelled couples from both the UK and overseas. They expect great service and authentic holiday experiences. Many of them return to us again and again. We pride ourselves on personal service and every member of our team actively contributes to the company’s success. When it gets busy, we all muck‑in, regardless of job title.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual for this customer‑facing role. You will work closely with the sales team, liaising with customers to create enquiries which will be passed on to the travel advisor. This is a full‑time role – Monday to Friday with rotational Saturday. You will be the first point of contact for customers, enquirers and other inbound contacts to McKinlay Kidd. You will listen carefully and accurately record information, then respond or pass on to colleagues. You will therefore play a crucial role in first impressions and customer service, including answering initial questions and ensuring an appropriate response.
Skills and Experience
- Fluent or native English speaker
- Excellent telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills
- Administrative experience and attention to detail
- Experienced in using technology and systems
- Good knowledge of the geography of Scotland plus ideally Ireland and the rest of the UK
- Belief that a holiday in the UK or Ireland can be just as good as one abroad
