Job Purpose
As the generics market continues to evolve, ClarusONE recognizes the need to invest in initiatives to drive new sourcing strategies and models that create value and/or mitigate risk. This is a high-visibility, projects-based role focused on:
- Leadership
- Own the development of and drive new sourcing strategies for a range of products and categories across a broad set of channels.
- Identify, develop, test, and roll out/ embed new sourcing programs within the business, managing multiple interdependencies and ensuring timely completion.
- Influence and direct cross-functional teams internally and externally as a senior individual contributor.
- Partner across ClarusONE teams, Members, and suppliers to support the strategic priority of creating new drivers of value and mitigating supply chain risk.
- Help increase supply stability for Members and their customers.
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and timely communication of plans, risks, and issues related to strategic projects.
- Partner closely with Sourcing, Finance, Member Engagement, Analytics, and Technology.
- Engage directly with Members and Manufacturers to understand customer needs and supplier goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to create value across all products, customer channels, and suppliers.
- Balance risk and opportunity when exploring new ventures or projects, providing guidance on strategic decisions as appropriate.
- Lead and oversee multiple projects end-to-end, including developing problem statements, building project plans, and creating testing models.
- Present diverse viewpoints in proposals, often to executive leadership, demonstrating balanced stakeholder consideration.
- Own outcomes/impact of strategic projects, identifying and executing lessons learned.
- Conduct market and ClarusONE analysis on identified products and categories independently or with Analytics teams.
- Partner with Supplier Relations for manufacturer-related insights, testing new initiatives, and rolling out new programs or sourcing models within agreed timelines.
- Partner with the Product team to ensure technology dependencies for new initiatives are incorporated into product development plans and properly costed/resourced.
- Drive alignment with Sourcing & Member Engagement to ensure implementation and delivery of identified ideas.
- Build strategic relationships with key external partners (manufacturers, customers, members) to support business goals and priorities.
- Exhibit independence in decision-making and innovation in sourcing strategy development.
- Effectively communicate project progress, findings, and prioritization needs to stakeholders.
- Listen to, leverage, and promote diverse perspectives across the business.
- Attend and participate in supplier business review meetings to discuss strategies and drive initiatives.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 10 years of work experience
- Experience in sourcing, consulting, business development, or product/program management
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strategic and analytical thinker capable of synthesizing large data sets into actionable intelligence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organization
- Highly motivated self-starter skilled at initiating and managing work with a sense of urgency
- Strong track record of delivering outstanding results
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel—Pivots, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in natural sciences, economics, business, finance, maths, or similar
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare experience
