ClarusONE Sourcing Services, LLP, provides strategic generic pharmaceutical services for both Walmart Stores, Inc. and McKesson Corporation. Its mission is to enable access to affordable medicines, which it has successfully been doing since its inception in 2016. ClarusONE is a joint venture between Walmart and McKesson, two of the top 10 biggest corporations in the USA, according to the Fortune 500 list. They have more than two decades of history working together to improve the quality and lower the cost of pharmaceutical care to patients.

The environment in which ClarusONE operates constantly requires the organisation to adapt and change, seeking greater efficiency in how it works through improved process, technology innovation and new ways of working. Delivering these changes with discipline and rigour will ensure that they land with maximum impact, delivering for our Members and for the patients that they serve. ClarusONE Sourcing Services is headquartered in London and prides itself on its can-do attitude that has ensured millions of Americans pay less when buying generic pharmaceuticals every day.

Job Purpose: The highly competitive US generic pharmaceutical sector continues to challenge every element of the supply chain. In this constantly changing environment, patients can be served through multiple channels in new and different ways, whilst those that dispense prescriptions, the wholesale distributors that supply them and manufacturers all have to react and respond to how the sector is evolving, which is also heavily influenced by payers, regulatory bodies and federal and state law. To succeed in this environment requires organisations to adapt and change and, at ClarusONE, we play a key role in working alongside multiple stakeholders to deliver the most efficient supply chain model whilst generating value for our Members, their customers and patients through innovative sourcing solutions.

The Data Engineer is primarily responsible for data pipeline creation, design and maintenance in support of all business functions. • Provide data expertise and effectively support the ongoing demand for new or enhanced data sets, aligned to the architecture plan and strategic direction of the data environment.
  • Execute the development of data ingestion and transformation pipelines using multiple technologies (SQL, Snowflake, Python, DBT / Astronomer, APIs etc); leveraging agile methodologies.
  • Support strategic initiatives; design, build and support data solutions conducive to business insights, reporting and analytics.
  • Apply data engineering best practice and tools to create and maintain data pipelines and extract, transform and load data.
  • Apply good coding standards and principles including logging and unit testing to the pipelines created.

  • Collaborate with all team members to problem solve and create solutions.
  • Be an advocate and champion of the ClarusONE data and information assets.
  • Recommend process changes to achieve minimal error rates. Track errors and improve process efficiencies.
