ClarusONE Sourcing Services, LLP, provides strategic generic pharmaceutical services for both Walmart Stores, Inc. and McKesson Corporation. Its mission is to enable access to affordable medicines, which it has successfully been doing since its inception in 2016. ClarusONE is a joint venture between Walmart and McKesson, two of the top 10 biggest corporations in the USA, according to the Fortune 500 list. Job Purpose: As a Joint Venture operating in a complex market, ClarusONE requires strong stewardship from its Finance function. The ClarusONE Controller is central to this stewardship with responsibilities reaching across accounting and controls, tax, statutory reporting, entity flow of funds and execution of the financial control and funds flow aspects of the Joint Venture Agreement. The ClarusONE Controller will partner with Member Finance Shared Service organizations in the US and India, ClarusONE Finance team, Legal stakeholders, Sourcing teams and our Member (i.e. McKesson and Walmart) finance teams to ensure that all activities are performed accurately, in line with policy and in a timely fashion. The Controller will have an advisory capacity with ClarusONE Leadership to ensure our strategy is aligned with the mission of the entity and our partnership structure. In partnership with the COO, the ClarusONE Controller supports, creates and drives specific initiatives for ClarusONE in efforts to continuously improve processes, optimize costs, enhance profitability and minimize risk. As ClarusONE is a service provider to its Members, the Controller will often work directly with Member Finance colleagues to ensure that ClarusONE process fits seamlessly with Member process. This role is a member of the extended leadership team in London and will continue to build partnerships and relationships across the entity and with both McKesson and Walmart, leading to the highest levels of collaboration and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure financial statement integrity of a business with considerable size, scope & complexity.
- Coordinate with US parent and Corporate Reporting/Accounting team regarding accounting policies & accomplish timely and accurate month/quarter/year end closes.
- Implement and monitor legal entity statutory accounting and reporting (UK GAAP).
- Ensure data firewalls are in place and controlled to comply with data sharing restrictions.
- Manage and oversee Finance shared service relationships.
- Assist in the Implementation and monitoring of tax and transfer pricing with the Member Tax Teams & ClarusONE COO.
- Oversee billings and collections for ClarusONE Rebates/Fees.
- Consider Member Finance downstream processes to ensure smooth handover from ClarusONE to Member.
- Review contracts and pricing language to ensure compliance with accounting standards and minimize business risks.
- Ensure compliance with ClarusONE LLP Agreement, and align with President, COO and ClarusONE General Counsel any required modifications to the partnership agreement.
- Own budgeting and reporting for ClarusONE P&L, partnering with the ClarusONE FP&A team for revenue forecasting and responding to needs of Member Finance teams.
- Collaborating with IT teams to develop/maintain internally developed systems and applications for financial reporting and sourcing operations that are both fit-for-purpose and compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as provide financial support and monitoring for CAPEX related work.
- Own ClarusONE delegation of authority and ensuring adherence to it.
- Support ClarusONE board including production of Board materials and attendance at the ClarusONE audit committee.
- Lead ClarusONE audit activities from planning through to completion to support independent auditor.
- Help to foster a collaborative culture, strengthening the relationship between ClarusONE and its Members.
- Develop and maintain a broad network of key working relationships across ClarusONE and the members, including senior leadership.
- Line Management responsibility for Senior Manager Accounting; setting direction for the function, supporting prioritisation of tasks, setting objectives and measuring progress, managing annual review process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Qualified Accountant.
- At least 10 years post qualified experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a drive to ensure that rules and regulations are complied with.
- Demonstrated ability to hold business stakeholders to account for adherence to policy.
- Proven experience in designing or owning Financial Controls.
- Experience in partnering with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all aspects of risk are considered.
- Ability to develop working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrate ability to explore options and make appropriate choices to support the business through change, whilst anchoring on the need to adhere to regulation and policy.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Base Pay Range for this position £95,250 - £158,750.
