The Biosimilars Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies for McKesson's biosimilar portfolio, ensuring competitive positioning and optimal market access. This role requires a strong understanding of the biosimilar landscape, healthcare economics, and pricing methodologies to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies for McKesson's biosimilar products across various markets and customer segments.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, including competitive intelligence, payer landscape assessment, and therapeutic area insights, to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, market access, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Perform financial modeling and forecasting to assess the impact of different pricing scenarios on revenue and profitability.
- Negotiate pricing and contracting terms with manufacturers, GPOs, and other key stakeholders to secure favorable agreements.
- Monitor and analyze pricing performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, and proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay current with evolving healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and industry trends impacting biosimilar pricing.
- Prepare and present pricing recommendations and analyses to senior management.
- Develop and maintain pricing tools and databases to support efficient pricing operations.
- Support the development of new product launch strategies from a pricing perspective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related scientific field. Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, or commercial analytics, ideally with a significant focus on biosimilars or specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex pricing concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences, in both verbal and written form.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer dynamics, and the biosimilar market advantageous.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and business intelligence tools is a plus.
