Contextual Overview
McKesson, in conjunction with ClarusONE Sourcing Services LLP, is seeking a qualified Senior Counsel on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) to provide primary legal support for business teams on routine legal matters and commercial transactions, principally relating to generic pharmaceutical sourcing initiatives in the U.S. market. The position is based in Russell Square, London, with flexible working arrangements.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified U.K. Solicitor or Barrister.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Prior legal experience within a corporate/commercial in-house legal team or a law firm.
- Experience in a healthcare regulatory environment, with pharmaceutical procurement experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Provide dedicated legal support to ClarusONE’s business teams in London.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments, and standard terms and conditions for generics procurement, IT agreements, vendor terms, and intercompany documentation.
- Participate in contract negotiations and communicate with generic pharmaceutical suppliers on contract issues and disputes.
