We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at McKenzie Vets on a full‑time basis. Mckenzie Vets is a long established, single‑site small animal practice in Alexandria with a reputation for the highest standard of care for our patients. It is close to Loch Lomond National Park but also commutable from Glasgow and Stirling. We have Cat Friendly Silver status and have achieved GP in Practice Standards Scheme.
We currently have 3 RVNs (two of which are certificate holders), 1 SVN and a VCA and we are looking for someone to join us for a year while our Head Nurse is on maternity leave. We have a friendly team who believes in having fun and supporting each other and we welcome new ideas, always forward‑thinking in ways to provide the best possible care for our patients.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first‑opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
We are ideally seeking an experienced RVN to join us on a full‑time basis, working 40 hours per week across four days, along with a fair share of Saturday mornings (1 in 4). Our typical weekday shifts run between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm, with Saturday hours of 8:30 am‑12:30 pm, followed by an early finish the following week. We can offer flexibility with hours for the right candidate. There are no out‑of‑hours or reception responsibilities associated with this role.
