The Offshore Renewables division of a FTSE 100 energy business seeks a Senior Solicitor to support the business on major offshore projects. Hybrid - two days a week in a regional office required.
An exciting opportunity to develop your legal skills in a high profile and rapidly evolving sector playing a critical role in supporting the transition towards net zero.
Responsibilities- You will provide legal advice and support to various stakeholders.
- Providing high quality legal support on a variety of construction and commercial matters for the development of new offshore projects and once operating. These may include FIDIC, NEC, Logic, O&M, design, supply and installation agreements.
- Gain a clear understanding of strategic priorities and assist in ensuring these are delivered.
- Engage and manage external counsel.
- Build and maintain good business relationships.
- Mentor and manage more junior lawyers in the team.
- Qualified lawyer in either England and Wales, Scotland or Ireland.
- Trained with a well-regarded law firm or in-house.
- Confident solicitor with construction or commercial law experience.
- Experience working on complex projects, with some exposure to renewable or offshore energy projects required.
- Ideally experience drafting and negotiating various construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC and O&M an advantage.
- Attractive base salary.
