Join McKeevers Chemists for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice (Level 3) Full-Time position in Newry. This apprenticeship allows you to build a meaningful, long-term career in pharmacy while earning a wage and gaining a recognised professional qualification.

This is a two-year, full-time Pharmacy Services Level 3 apprenticeship delivered in partnership with Belfast Met. It combines structured college learning with hands-on experience in a busy pharmacy environment. You will work alongside experienced pharmacy professionals while developing the technical knowledge, confidence, and professional behaviours required to succeed in the pharmacy sector.

Successful completion leads to:

  • A nationally recognised Level 3 qualification
  • Eligibility for professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Strong foundations for career progression within pharmacy

This apprenticeship follows the community pharmacy pathway. Applicants must secure employment within a community pharmacy in Northern Ireland prior to starting the programme.

The role includes:

  • A minimum of 21 hours employment per week in a community pharmacy
  • One day per week day-release learning at college
  • Workplace mentoring and college support to ensure you gain real-world competence alongside academic knowledge
