Due to McKee Associates’ steady and continued growth, we are currently looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our team and contribute to a high-performing and organised business environment by providing proactive administrative and operational support across key areas of the organisation.

Our team is led by experienced engineers with deep expertise across all core sectors of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Services (MEP) industry, both within the UK and internationally. We combine innovative design with practical solutions, ensuring that each project is tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.

We are located in the picturesque Wigan Hall in the heart of Wigan Town Centre, 8 min walk from Wigan Wallgate & Wigan North Western Train Station, 2 min walk from Wigan Bus Station.

Responsibilities

  • Support ISO 9001 compliance by helping with internal audits and keeping documents up to date.
  • Assist with cyber security tasks such as record keeping, device checks, and preparing for annual reviews.
  • Answer phone calls and manage the shared ‘info’ mailbox, passing messages to the right team members.
  • Help coordinate staff diaries, record holidays and absences, and organise training sessions and reviews.
  • Assist with recruitment by contacting agencies, arranging interviews, and preparing induction materials.
  • Help create marketing content using Adobe Creative Suite or CapCut for social media and presentations.
  • Update and maintain the company’s Mailchimp contact list and assist with sending marketing emails.
  • Keep company materials (flyers, banners, email signatures) up to date and consistent.
  • Support social media activity (LinkedIn, Facebook) and help keep the Google Business profile current.
  • Assist with preparing reports, proposals, and other business documents.
  • Provide general office and admin support to the Business Manager and Directors.
  • Handle all information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • At least 1 year experience in an administrative/business support or similar role.
  • Exceptional organisation skills and an eye for detail.
  • Confident using social media, LinkedIn and Facebook is preferred but not essential.
  • Confident using Microsoft package is essential; experience using Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Express etc.) is desirable.
  • This is an office based role; you must be able to work from our Wigan office 5 days per week (Monday-Friday).
