We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist Manager within our head office branch at Westminster Avenue in Belfast. We operate a highly automated, robotic dispensary. We offer an innovative “PillRoll” service, which ensures a high level of patient adherence and ease of use regarding their medications. There are significant growth opportunities within this role managing the branch, and we are continually seeking ways to improve our services and patient care, adopting a unique ‘Lean and Improvement’ mentality and engendering this within the team.
You would be working alongside a talented and knowledgeable team of Pharmacists, Accuracy Checking Technicians, and Dispensing Technicians to deliver a range of commissioned pharmacy services and patient care.
- Qualified Pharmacist, registered and in good standing with Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland
- IT Literate and familiar with bespoke Pharmacy Dispensing Computer packages (e.g. MPS and McLernons)
- Able to demonstrate strategic initiative and drive and lead by example
- Team leading self-awareness and willingness to engage and empower the team
- Able to deal with high volume prescription processing
- Able to demonstrate a minimum of two of the following measures: 1) Eligible to tutor Foundation Year Trainee students 2) A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience as a Pharmacist 3) Previous Pharmacist Manager experience.
- Procurement and Inventory Management: Previous experience in management of pharmacy stock and procurement, including use of tendering and cascade systems
- Previous experience in delivering commissioned pharmacy services, e.g. services to Care Homes, Pharmacy First, Flu/Covid Vaccination, etc.
- Demonstrable experience of taking a key role in developing and continually improving a community pharmacy
