As a Solicitor/Conveyancer, you will be responsible for independently handling a wide range of residential conveyancing matters, including complex transactions. You will ensure all legal work is completed to a high standard, in accordance with SRA requirements and firm procedures. You may also provide supervision and support to junior conveyancers and assistants, contributing to the development of the team and ensuring smooth workflow management.

  • Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to post-completion
  • Handling complex title issues, leasehold transactions, and unregistered land where necessary
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, raising detailed pre-contract enquiries, checking titles, and preparing comprehensive reports on title and mortgage
  • Advising clients on legal issues, including lease terms, restrictions, planning/building regulation matters, and SDLT
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and third-party solicitors to ensure progress and resolve issues efficiently
  • Ensuring all transactions comply with SRA regulations, anti-money laundering laws, and the firm’s risk management procedures
  • Supervising junior team members and reviewing their work where appropriate
  • Maintaining detailed, accurate records and regularly updating the case management system
  • Upholding the highest standards of client care and communication throughout the transaction

Qualified solicitor/conveyancer/CILEX with a current practising certificate. Demonstrable experience independently managing a residential conveyancing caseload. Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing law and Land Registry practice. Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to supervise and support junior team members where required. Professional, confident, and client-focused communication style. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. 3 Years PQE.
