We are a well-established and friendly accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a small practice environment, handling a varied portfolio of clients and playing a key role in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparation and submission of corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
  • Providing general accounting and business advice to clients
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Proven experience in a small or medium-sized accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for companies and sole traders
  • Audit experience is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
