Windows Server Platform Engineer – PowerShell – Virtualisation – Ansible

Permanent – Hybrid working, 3 days office (London)

Leading financial services client is looking for a Windows Server Platform Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be managing, maintaining, and enhancing Microsoft Windows Server related technologies across the estate. This is a project delivery role and would suit someone with a DevOps mindset who is passionate about automation. You will be responsible for the implementation of automated solutions.

Skills and Experience required:

1. Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 related technologies
2. PowerShell
3. CI/CD pipelines and other automation concepts
4. AWX / Ansible Tower
5. Git or other source code control software
6. Security hardening principles in line with CIS industry benchmarks
7. Excellent knowledge of networking, storage, database, and virtualization layers
8. Clustering and high-availability technologies
9. Replication and disaster recovery
10. TCP/IP Networking Protocols
11. Nutanix HCI, ESX VMWare, EMC – desirable
12. Working knowledge of cloud computing – IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle
