Senior Technology Engineer – Investment Systems Location: London (4-5 days office-based)

A market-leading investment firm seeks an experienced technologist to join their portfolio systems engineering group. You’ll help shape the next generation of investment technology solutions.

About the Role: Work at the intersection of finance and technology, developing high-performance applications that power investment decisions. You’ll be part of a team revolutionizing how trading insights and analytics are delivered through modern cloud-native architectures.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect and develop distributed systems handling real-time market data
• Drive technical innovation across the platform
• Collaborate with quantitative teams to implement trading analytics
• Enhance system performance and scalability
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction

Technical Requirements:

• Extensive development experience with object-oriented languages – Ideally C#
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud architecture
• Experience with message streaming platforms and API design
• Track record of optimizing application performance
• Understanding of financial markets preferred

Professional Background:

• 8+ years software engineering experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Previous exposure to financial technology beneficial
• Experience leading technical initiatives
