UI Developer – Electronic Trading

We are recruiting for a Senior UI Developer to join a major financial services technology programme, working on a high-performance Single Dealer Platform supporting electronic trading.

Based out of their City of London offices you will join on an initial 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UI development and front-end architecture.
  • Build scalable, low-latency trading interfaces using React and Rx JS.
  • Work closely with Product, UX and Backend teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to UI engineers.
  • Integrate with Java backend services and real-time data streams.
  • Drive performance, scalability and modernisation of the UI platform.
  • Key Skills
  • Strong React, Type Script and Rx JS experience.
  • Experience with Redux/Context API, Web Sockets and Vite.
  • Knowledge of micro-frontends and modular architecture.
  • Experience with Vitest, Playwright, Storybook or similar.
  • Open Fin experience is advantageous.
  • Financial markets experience, particularly FX, Fixed Income or Electronic Trading, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
