Opportunity to join a national Facilities / Building Services Contractor at an exciting time of their growth. Due to contract wins, they now require an experienced facilities / site services engineer to be based at a prestigious property in central Birmingham.
The role requires a good all-round multi-skill M&E background. The appointed person will be responsible for managing this seven-story property ensuring all aspects of property maintenance are effectively managed and issues dealt with in a timely manner. The position will suit someone familiar with regular PPMs, who knows various systems and can go on site and troubleshoot.
The successful candidate will have an all-round building service background with an electrical bias. All the managed properties are in the commercial sector.
The Building Service Engineer will cover jobs such as the following but of a varied nature:
- Electrical maintenance and testing
- Re-lamping and repairs
- Emergency light testing
- Electrical fault finding
- Maintenance and repair of generators, CCTV, fire alarms, etc.
The appointed person should hold electrical tickets such as 17th edition; 2391 or equivalent and it would be seen as advantageous for the Electrical Engineer / Electrician to hold NVQ or City and Guilds in electrical installations and maintenance.
The Building Service Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be required to fault find, repair and maintain various systems.
Previous experience in a similar position is required. The appointed person must be happy to work in central Birmingham on one site, there is no travel involved. Immediate start for the right person.
