A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make As a Plasterer, you'll be responsible for preparing, repairing and finishing internal and external surfaces across a range of industrial, manufacturing and engineering environments. You'll take ownership of your work from initial surface preparation through to final finishing, ensuring walls, ceilings, partitions and specialist surfaces are completed accurately, safely and to the required quality standards. Your practical expertise, attention to detail and ability to work to precise specifications will be key to ensuring every project is completed to a high standard and contributes to the successful delivery of McGregor Structures' projects. As our Plasterer, your key responsibilities will be : Preparing surfaces by cleaning, priming, bonding, meshing and repairing brickwork, blockwork, concrete and studwork. Applying plaster, bonding agents, hardwall, render and specialist coatings to achieve high-quality, durable finishes. Repairing and finishing walls, ceilings and partitions across industrial and manufacturing environments. Installing and finishing plasterboard, dry lining, metal studwork and specialist fire-rated or acoustic partitions. Measuring, cutting and fitting materials accurately to technical drawings and project specifications, while inspecting finished work for quality.
