  • Support the development and execution of a forward‑looking AI strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify, assess, and prioritise AI use cases, including business case development and strategic alignment.
  • Participate in internal AI governance forums, contributing to the development of policies, standards, and oversight mechanisms.
  • Develop and deliver AI training, internal communications, and awareness materials to build AI literacy across the organisation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on AI risks and opportunities, supporting vendor assessments, risk reviews, and implementation workstreams.
  • Track, measure, and report on AI adoption, business value, risk posture, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the organisation’s AI governance framework, including policy development, risk frameworks, and control structures.
  • Perform continuous assessments of the existing AI footprint to ensure adherence to policies, standards, and incident‑management processes.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior committees on AI risk posture and strategic progress.
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, technology, and other stakeholders to embed AI governance into the broader enterprise risk management framework.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in innovation, risk, or technology governance—preferably within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, including policies, risk assessments, and controls; specific experience in AI governance is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI risk domains (bias, fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, model validation, human‑in‑the‑loop oversight).
  • Working knowledge of AI regulatory frameworks such as the UK/EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, or ISO/IEC 23894.
  • Solid understanding of AI model development, data dependencies, monitoring, and explainability requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across diverse functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • High ethical standards, sound judgement, and a proactive, self‑starting approach.
  • Comfortable working with emerging technologies and evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge of financial markets or FX is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics, law, information technology, or equivalent professional experience.
