A leading logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to play a key role in a major transformation programme. This position will focus on shaping practical, scalable solutions that bridge business needs with technology delivery. You will work across business, IT, and project teams to design end-to-end solutions, support system replacement initiatives, and drive process optimisation and automation.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Design
- Design end-to-end business solutions across processes, systems, and data flows
- Translate business requirements into clear, implementable solution designs
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical feasibility
- System Replacement & Decommissioning
- Define target-state solutions for legacy system replacement
- Identify opportunities to reuse or enhance existing tools
- Support technology selection through structured solution options and trade-offs
- Process Optimisation & Automation
- Analyse and improve existing workflows to reduce manual effort
- Identify and implement automation opportunities
- Develop future-state process models aligned to digital capabilities
- Technology Delivery Support
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure scalable solutions
- Support delivery teams in translating designs into project scope
- Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and workflows
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to maximise value from existing platforms
- Introduce new ideas around automation and digital tools
- Support iterative, agile ways of working
- Proven experience in business solution design within transformation programmes
- Strong process modelling and operational analysis skills
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions
- Experience working across business, IT, and delivery functions
