Our client, a leading financial services company based in Canary Wharf, is now hiring a Procurement Director to join its team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business going through a massive transformation and play an instrumental role in developing their strategy, develop and mentoring the team you will manage.

As a Procurement Director, you will define and implement the company's corporate services strategy while driving sourcing initiatives and strategy, implementing new technologies, managing your team, and running operations.

This role is based in a highly regulated environment where risk and compliance are highly important. You will promote and work within the implemented Third-Party Management (TPM) framework .

The ideal candidate should have worked as a Director for 2-5 years, have solid experience in regulated environments, be CIPS qualified, and have management experience.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience working within Procurement in a financial services environment (ideally banking or FMI ( Financial Market Infrastructure)) and / or strong Procurement and operational experience across a range of categories in a financial institution or professional services
  • Strong knowledge of UK Procurement regulations and financial services compliance (FCA, EBA Reg HH, PSR, etc.).
  • Procurement and Supply Chain in-depth knowledge
  • Team Management / Coaching experience required
  • Experience of applying Procurement skills and techniques to disrupt business strategy
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain complex and multiple business stakeholder relationships
  • Team player with the ability to work constructively and flexibly in a regulated environment, including assisting in tasks which are not necessarily within their immediate responsibility when required
  • Commercial acumen & financial awareness
  • Risk management & compliance focus
  • CIPS qualification
