Our client, a leading global data and technology business operating within the financial markets, is looking to appoint a
Head of Finance Technology Product Management to lead the next phase of its finance technology transformation.
Following the successful implementation of Workday Financials, the organisation is now focused on optimising the platform, enhancing automation and building a scalable finance technology estate to support continued business growth.
This is a rare opportunity to own a critical enterprise platform, influence technology strategy and play a key role in shaping the future of a rapidly evolving business.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional Workday support role.
You'll take ownership of the Workday Financials platform as an internal product, driving continuous improvement across finance processes, integrations and automation whilst working closely with senior technology and finance stakeholders across the organisation.
You'll inherit an established offshore support function and work alongside architecture, engineering and finance teams to deliver strategic enhancements across the wider technology landscape.
Future scope for the position includes ownership of additional back-office platforms and CRM technology as the organisation continues to invest in its enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic roadmap and ongoing development of the Workday Financials platform.
- Drive automation and optimisation across core finance processes.
- Lead the integration strategy between Workday ERP, Salesforce CRM and other enterprise platforms.
- Partner with Finance, Technology and Executive stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions aligned to business objectives.
- Manage and develop an established offshore technology support team.
- Oversee third-party vendors and system partners while transitioning knowledge into internal teams.
- Improve reporting, data quality, governance and operational efficiency across the finance technology landscape.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and AI-driven automation.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have extensive experience owning and developing
Workday Financials within a complex enterprise environment.
You'll be comfortable operating as both a strategic technology leader and a hands-on product owner, capable of driving platform enhancements whilst influencing senior stakeholders across finance and technology.
- Proven ownership of Workday Financials within a large enterprise environment.
- Experience leading finance technology or ERP product roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of finance systems, governance and enterprise architecture.
- Experience delivering process improvement, automation and continuous platform optimisation.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and offshore delivery teams.
- Highly Desirable
- Salesforce CRM experience, particularly ERP/CRM integrations.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms using APIs or middleware.
- Finance or accounting knowledge, or close partnership with finance functions.
- Experience within subscription, Saa S or data-led businesses.
- Exposure to Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and enterprise integration patterns.
