A leading provider of Financial Services is seeking a solid and proven Infrastructure Engineer with a background in VMware and Storage solutions. The new team member needs to have solid working experience with Microsoft Windows server platforms, Hyper-V, VMWare, and HP/Dell server/storage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of regional components of global electronic markets infrastructure projects
- Working with counterparts in other locations to offer a seamless follow-the-sun support model. This implies management of global technical issues in remote locations during core hours.
- Responsible for ensuring proper monitoring and capacity planning of local systems as a part of the global framework
- Resolution of issues on the local eBusiness infrastructure hub
- Installation and configuration storage, SAN, and layered products
Skills required:
- Work with autonomy and independence, but within the framework of a global support structure
- Strong skills in production, installation and management of Microsoft Windows Server, Clusters, Hyper-V, Active Directory, VMWare, HP Proliant, HP Storage (Alletra, Primera), Dell PowerScale, Microsoft Security Patching and Security Vulnerability Management
- Proficient scripter - PowerShell and Python a particular advantage (E.g. Writing of scripts for administration and automation tasks.)
- Working knowledge of HPE Simplivity, CyberArk and Device42 would be of benefit.
