b Overview /b p In this VP-level role, you will own and deliver high-performance C#/.NET solutions powering front office trading and securities financing. You will shape technical architecture and drive delivery across a global engineering team in London, with close collaboration to NY and Asia. You will modernise legacy applications and build cloud-based platforms using a modern stack. You’ll apply distributed systems principles and guide best practices, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity. This role offers impact on trading technology and a path to technical leadership within a global bank. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Design, develop and enhance high-performance C#/.NET applications supporting front office trading and securities financing activities. /li li Take technical ownership of projects from initial requirements and architectural design through development, deployment and production. /li li Contribute to the modernisation of existing applications and the development of strategic cloud-based platforms. /li li Design scalable, maintainable solutions using modern software engineering principles and distributed technologies. /li li Work collaboratively with engineering teams and business stakeholders across London, New York and Asia. /li li Evaluate technical approaches, make architectural decisions and drive engineering best practices. /li li Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality and delivery efficiency. /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Strong commercial software engineering experience using C# and .NET, with excellent programming fundamentals. /li li Proven experience designing and delivering complex enterprise applications within investment banking or capital markets. /li li Knowledge of Securities Lending, Stock Loan, Securities Financing, Equity Financing or Equity Swaps. /li li Demonstrable experience taking ownership of technical architecture and delivering substantial projects independently. /li li Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles. /li li Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL. /li li Ability to articulate architectural decisions, evaluate technical trade-offs and solve complex engineering challenges. /li /ul ul li proactive ownership /li li cross-functional collaboration /li li strong problem-solving /li li C# and .NET/.NET Core /li li AWS or another major cloud platform /li li Java development experience alongside C# /li /ul
