Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant (AVP) to join their Financial Control team. This is a broad and impactful role supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, robust controls, and continuous process improvement within a complex, multi-entity environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, contributing to month-end reporting, statutory accounts preparation, audits, and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journals for legal entities and consolidation.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes and internal controls.
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and related accounting entries within the ERP system.
  • Assist with tax-related matters, including VAT and sales tax filings, working alongside external advisors.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany invoicing and settlements.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory and statistical returns.
  • Conduct P&L analysis for subsidiary entities.
  • Maintain and update finance procedure documentation.
  • Support senior members of the Financial Control team in driving a culture of continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), ideally trained in practice or with experience in a large financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of statutory financial reporting and management accounts.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of financial controls and governance frameworks.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
