Finance Analyst
Location: Derby (hybrid
Duration: 12-months (Likely to be extended)
Day rate: £450 p/d inside ir35 (via umbrella)
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a leading global engineering and technology organisation in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Civil finance function, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and period-end activities. You’ll work closely with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business, contributing to financial control, analysis and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly FX revaluation for the UK business.
- Produce FX reporting for external auditors, Group Finance and key stakeholders.
- Prepare period-end journals covering operating costs, recharges and central accruals.
- Conduct balance sheet reviews, analysing movements and presenting findings.
- Support the Finance Control Team with financial queries and requests.
- Contribute to finance projects, investigations and process improvement initiatives.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality analysis within challenging deadlines.
About You
You’ll be a qualified finance professional with:
- CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.
- At least 3 years’ finance experience.
- Practical experience in FX reporting and revaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP and HFM.
