Overview

Opportunity to join a growing specialist bank within their mortgages and lending division, taking ownership of data, MI and operational insight across the business. This is a hands-on role combining technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. You'll act as the go-to for all reporting and analytics, working closely with senior stakeholders to translate data into clear, actionable insight that drives operational performance and decision-making. The role sits at the intersection of data, operations and lending, with a focus on improving visibility across pipeline, capacity, customer outcomes and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver all MI, reporting and operational analytics across the lending division
  • Design and develop dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and SQL
  • Translate complex data into clear insight for senior stakeholders (MD, Sales, Credit, Operations)
  • Lead and develop a junior analyst, setting standards and supporting growth
  • Drive data quality, consistency and governance across operational systems
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead data-driven process improvements
  • Support operational change and transformation initiatives with robust data and insight
  • Act as the subject matter expert for data, reporting and operational performance

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in MI, BI or data analytics roles within financial services (essential)
  • Advanced Tableau and SQL skills (essential)
  • Experience building dashboards and owning reporting end-to-end
  • Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making
  • Experience working with operational or lending-related data (e.g. mortgages, loans, pipeline)
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing analysts (or ready to step into this)
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on using data to drive change
  • Ideal for a Senior Analyst looking to step into a management role, or an existing Manager seeking a hands-on position
