A highly regarded legal services organisation based in London's West End is seeking two Compliance Assistants to join its established Risk Compliance function. Reporting to the Senior Risk Compliance Manager, you will become part of a well-established team consisting of Compliance Assistants, Compliance Officers, Managers and the Head of Compliance. The function works closely with senior stakeholders across the business, offering excellent exposure and the opportunity to develop a broad range of compliance and risk management skills.
The Role
Working within a busy compliance environment supporting compliance operations, you will assist with a wide range of activities. This is a varied position offering exposure to AML, KYC, client due diligence, risk assessments and ongoing compliance projects, making it an ideal next step for someone looking to build a long-term career within compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct AML, KYC and client due diligence checks
- Support onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes
- Manage and escalate risk referrals where appropriate
- Respond to ad hoc compliance queries from partners
- Support the Compliance Officer with complex and higher-risk matters
- Maintain accurate records, tracking logs and compliance databases
- Produce reporting and management information as required
- Assist with data cleansing and wider compliance improvement projects
- Ensure compliance procedures are followed consistently across the business
- Open and closing of accounts.
About You
- A minimum of one year's AML/KYC or compliance experience within professional services.
- Good understanding of AML regulations and client due diligence processes
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Good Excel and systems proficiency
- Strong numerical aptitude
- Confidence to challenge or push back where necessary
- A calm, professional and proactive approach
- A-Level Maths and English and/or a degree (preferred but not essential)
