We are looking for a commercially minded, relationship-focused Outbound Data Relationship Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone ready for the next step in their career who has developed strong sales or business development skills and has some understanding of financial services, particularly within asset management, private markets, or financial data. You may currently be working in sales, investor relations support, business development, recruitment, or a data-led financial services environment and be ready for your next step.
In this position, you will engage directly with fund managers and alternative asset firms, encouraging them to share proprietary data and supporting their broader fundraising visibility. You will be instrumental in expanding our data coverage and strengthening our position within the market. This is a high-visibility role with clear progression opportunities within a global financial information organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting & Research: Identify and map potential fund managers and alternative asset firms using internal tools and market research. Build targeted outreach lists aligned to team objectives.
- Outbound Engagement: Proactively contact prospective partners via phone, email and digital channels. Clearly explain the value of our platform and the benefits of participating in our data network. Arrange follow-up conversations and product demonstrations where appropriate.
- Relationship Development: Build credibility with investment professionals and investor relations teams. Position yourself as a knowledgeable and trusted point of contact. Maintain ongoing engagement to support long-term partnerships.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with data operations and commercial colleagues to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new contributors. Provide feedback from the market to support product and commercial strategy.
- CRM & Reporting: Accurately record activity and pipeline progress within the CRM system. Track performance against targets and contribute to team reporting.
- Experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (ideally within financial services, data, or professional services).
- Some understanding of asset management, private markets, or the alternatives space.
- Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with investment professionals.
- Naturally relationship-driven, energetic and resilient.
- Motivated by targets and measurable outcomes.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Quick to learn new products, processes and market concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential.
