I'm supporting a global transportation company in their search for a Business Analyst to support with a wide range of projects within the programme, including driving continuous improvements to recently implemented ERP solutions and delivering new procurement or contract management systems.

This is a comprehensive role that requires confidence in managing the full analysis lifecycle - from engaging stakeholders to gather requirements, through overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT), and supporting the transition into Hypercare.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of their business needs and objectives, conducting interviews, workshops, and meetings to gather and accurately document requirements.
  • You will analyse the collected requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential issues.
  • You will produce clear and comprehensive documentation, including Business Requirements Documents, user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
  • You will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams, facilitating communication and managing expectations effectively.
  • You will assess business processes to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and recommend improvements through techniques such as business process modelling and reengineering to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • You will analyse data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making, using tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms to extract, manipulate, and visualise data.
  • After implementation, you will monitor solution performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for further refinement and optimisation.

Requirements/Experience:

  • A solid technical foundation with a broad understanding of various technologies and platforms.
  • Proven experience in contributing to systems implementations (such as ERP) and delivering technical change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capability in producing Business Analysis artefacts across multiple, simultaneous and/or complex programmes of work.
  • Proficient in data analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled at building and sustaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Sharp business acumen and a solid grasp of organisational dynamics and challenges.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives.
