A Global Financial Service Business in New York is seeking a Regional Sales Manager.
Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across key markets, with accountability for maintaining the existing revenue base and developing new business opportunities within a defined book of business across the Americas. The position also encompasses a wide range of responsibilities such as account planning, business forecasting, client retention, cross-sell / upsell, and coaching and mentoring others on the broader team. This is a hybrid, 3-day in-office position.
Role Responsibilities
- Proactively identify new revenue opportunities - conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and expand contacts within accounts to solidify renewal outcomes.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
- Drive contract negotiations in partnership with Legal and Product stakeholders to achieve account growth targets.
- Monitor and report on renewal metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Excellent track record in account management.
- Previous experience in the financial markets.
- Strong background in growing established revenue streams, ideally in the subscription-based financial data and analytics space.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets in a competitive environment, showcasing a results-driven approach.
Desired
- Familiarity with key client personas including Buy Side, Sell Side, and/or Energy & Commodities.
- Experience with advanced market analysis tools and software that support data-driven decision-making and trend forecasting.
