We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst & Data Specialist to join a high-profile Front Office Risk & Control function within a globally recognised financial institution. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of booking controls across a full spectrum of traded products, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and risk alignment of front-office trade activity.

You will be part of a dedicated in-business risk and control group responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of trade booking controls. The team operates across all global markets businesses and works closely with Sales & Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Audit.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Data Analyst:
- Analyse booking processes and trade data flows to assess control gaps and data suitability.
- Define business requirements for reporting, metrics, and monitoring tools.
- Provide quality assurance through testing and data-driven control assessments.
- Produce management information (MI) and reports that evidence control performance and effectiveness.
- Maintain and update procedural documentation relating to ongoing monitoring and reporting activities.
Essential Skills & Experience for a Business Data Analyst:
- Proven experience within Markets, ICG, or relevant functions such as risk, operations, product control or middle office.
- Demonstrable experience defining business requirements and managing technology delivery.
- Advanced Excel capabilities; experience working with databases and large datasets.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, Tableau or Power BI is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a Front Office or trade control setting.
- Product knowledge across Markets asset classes including Fixed Income and Derivatives.
- Exposure to Manager Control Assessments (MCA) or similar internal risk frameworks.
