Job Description

European Investment Bank seeks an AVP/Associate-level Software Programmer to join the firm's growing FX Trading business. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience as a Java developer working on-prem systems hosted and managed within a company's infrastructure rather than on a cloud-based architecture. Key skills: JVM, Garbage Collection, Multithreading, Low Latency, Performance, Hash Maps, Core Java.

Industry experience required: Investment Banking with Front Office Trading Platform experience.

The role will focus on building pricing applications from the ground up, enabling the FX trading business to offer clients the fastest and best pricing solutions.

  • Building core FX pricing systems components in Java.
  • Write unit and system integration tests.
  • Application performance profiling and optimisation.
  • Collaborating directly with stakeholders (traders and quants) to take requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, including multi-threading, concurrency, and design patterns.
