We're supporting a key organisation in securing an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to act as a technical lead to take ownership of their live technology estate, ensuring stability, resilience, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role, working across architecture, operations, and third-party service delivery to ensure systems are effectively transitioned into BAU and optimised over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical oversight of the live IT estate, ensuring stability, performance, and resilience
- Work closely with architecture teams to transition solutions into operational service
- Provide governance and oversight of managed service providers, ensuring quality delivery
- Review and assess technical changes, focusing on risk, impact, and alignment
- Drive incident analysis and root cause resolution across complex environments
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, standards, and architecture artefacts
- Support platform lifecycle management (upgrades, patching, decommissioning)
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure secure-by-design principles are embedded
- Facilitate technical reviews with stakeholders and contribute to technology roadmap planning
