An investment banking client is seeking an experienced Business Manager with a focus on strategic workforce planning and financial oversight. The role involves working closely with Finance, HR, and Senior Leadership to deliver operational excellence across the business unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a strategic partner to the business unit leader, accountable for driving operational efficiency and functional governance.
- Ensuring alignment with broader corporate objectives while supporting the leadership team in delivering key business outcomes.
- Leading the adoption of workforce planning initiatives across functions and business areas, setting clear direction and building structured plans to meet agreed targets and deadlines.
- Overseeing Finance, Headcount, and Resource tracking and planning in line with approved budgets and organisational priorities.
- Managing resource and skills planning alongside ongoing Organisational Health monitoring to ensure the business unit remains fit for purpose.
- Acting as the primary liaison between senior management and Global Function partners including HR, Finance, Legal, and ICRM.
- Coordinating activity across multiple areas of the business unit, including business continuity planning, establishing clear action plans and accountability frameworks to advance business priorities.
