The Role
An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation across Data, AI and enterprise architecture.
You'll take ownership of the enterprise data architecture strategy, leading the design of a modern Azure-based data platform while shaping how data products, governance and AI capabilities are embedded across the business.
This is a leadership role with line management responsibility for two Data Architects, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data and AI teams to deliver a scalable, governed data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap Lead the design of modern Azure lakehouse and data platform architectures Shape and embed enterprise data governance, modelling and architecture standards Drive the adoption of a data product operating model across the organisation Partner with Data, AI, Engineering and Enterprise Architecture teams on strategic initiatives Provide architecture governance and technical leadership across data and AI programmes Lead and mentor a team of Data Architects Ensure enterprise data platforms are scalable, secure and AI-ready
Key Requirements Extensive experience as an Enterprise Data Architect within large, complex organisations Previous line management or leadership experience Strong Azure data platform expertise, including Azure Databricks Experience designing modern lakehouse and enterprise data architectures Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, MDM and enterprise data modelling Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives and modern AI data platforms Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and collaborating across multiple architecture disciplines
