Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Contract: 12 months

Day rate: £300-£400 (inside ir35)

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment supporting complex, global systems. This role sits at the intersection of data, architecture, and IT service management, playing a key part in aligning business data requirements with modern technology platforms.

What you will be doing:

  • Gather, analyse, and actively track asset and configuration data requirements across multiple technology and business functions.
  • Perform cross-functional analysis to identify synergies, gaps, and alignment with industry standards.
  • Work closely with data architects to evaluate technical implementation options and validate solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, assessing impacts of proposed changes.
  • Support data discrepancy analysis, including data lineage across multiple systems.
  • Create, maintain, and present high-quality data artefacts and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to deliver milestones on time and manage change control activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Several years' experience in data or business analysis roles.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB/AMDB data models.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture and data lineage concepts.
  • Knowledge of ITSM / ITIL frameworks and IT asset management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical materials such as scripts or configurations.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments.
  • Agile or programme management experience.
  • ServiceNow, ITIL, or data visualisation certifications.
