A leading FTSE 100 client of ours is seeking a strong hands-on leader to take on the role of Head of M365 Engineering across the UK. The Modern Workplace platform supports 90,000 colleagues across the UK - powering productivity, communication, and collaboration at scale.
You will be delivering one of the largest and most ambitious technical transformations in the UK, and we're looking for a visionary Head of M365 Engineering to help shape what comes next. This is your opportunity to lead the engineering teams behind our enterprise collaboration ecosystem - spanning M365 tools, messaging platforms, data services, and real-time communications. - Set the direction for collaboration technologies across the organisation.
- Work closely with the Lab Product Owner to lead, mobilise, and maintain high-performing teams delivering on that vision.
- Explore emerging tooling and methodologies to enhance colleague experience and productivity.
- Foster a culture that embraces creative problem solving, modern engineering practices, and continuous improvement.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a skilled team of collaboration engineers.
- Champion continuous learning, capability uplift, and engineering excellence.
- Define and track key KPIs, ensuring our collaboration services remain reliable, efficient, and continually improving.
- Oversee budgets, technology resources, operational risk, and total cost of service for collaboration platforms.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower engineering teams. Hands-on and broad management experience across enterprise collaboration technologies - especially M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Copilot), email platforms, data services, compliance and surveillance tools, and real-time communications. Practical experience working within Agile environments (SCRUM / Kanban) and familiarity with JIRA or JIRA Align. A passion for innovation and driving meaningful change through technology. This opening is based in either Leeds or Edinburgh.
