We are looking for an energetic, reliable individual to add to our Pharmacy Team as a Pharmacy Assistant who lives by our company values of Respect, Teamwork, Positive Attitude, and Ability to Change. The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties in order to increase the Pharmacist's opportunity to provide optimal patient care. The Pharmacy Assistant is expected to participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations required of a team player. They are a key member in the delivery of superior customer service.

In the day-in-the-life of a Pharmacy Assistant, you will provide front line service to patients & customers by:

  • Receiving prescriptions
  • Performing computer functions such as data entry, patient profile checks, billing etc.
  • Filling prescriptions by following strict procedures and Pharmacists supervision

You will work with the pharmacy team to meet requests and deadlines to fulfill our long-term care homes requirements. You will also assist the Pharmacist with maintaining inventory of drugs and other supplies as well as maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment.

This role may be based out of either Northern Carleton Pharmacy, Florenceville-Bristol or Pharmacy for Life, Hartland. All employees are expected to be able to work at either location as needed.

Qualifications: Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, confidentiality, adaptability to change, problem-solving capabilities, great collaboration and strong communication skills, positive attitude. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends based on a set schedule.

Education & Experience: Comfortable with computer/technology and working with the public. General knowledge of pharmacy operations, drug plans, procedures, processes and regulatory requirements. Pharmacy Assistant certificate considered an asset.
