We are looking for an energetic, reliable individual to add to our Team as a Relief Pharmacist in Hospital and/or Community Pharmacy, to provide expertise and exceptional patient care to the Greater New Brunswick area. Our Pharmacy services extend well beyond the "brick and mortar" dispensary model. We offer a unique Pharmacist experience that will test your problem solving abilities and offers an opportunity to not only engage in clinical practice, but to lead the industry in proving your professional capabilities in primary care and services.

Qualifications:- Completed an accredited university level degree program in pharmacy;
- Qualified in all aspects of handling medications, including dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications, drug therapy, and understanding drug interactions and side effects;
- Completed an assigned period of practice experience;
- Trained in the principles of medication therapy management and quality pharmaceutical care, including patient counselling;
- Understand all health care and pharmacy laws governing pharmaceuticals, pharmacists/technicians roles, and pharmacy operations;
- Successfully completed provincial and national examinations demonstrating competence in pharmacy practice and applicable pharmacy laws and standards of practice;
- Proficiency in Pharmaclik software considered an asset;
- Meet continuing education requirements;
- Meet English and French language fluency requirements.
- Manage the day to day operations and staff of the Pharmacy included but not limited to: Full scope of Pharmacy Services including: Immunizations, Minor Ailment Assessing and Prescribing, etc.
- Leading dispensary Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technicians in the hospital setting.
- Communicating medication information to members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
- Prepare and process prescriptions by performing duties such as entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, packaging, or repackaging medications.
- Ensure the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
- Daily technical and therapeutic checks.
- Handle confidential information respectfully and in accordance to Pharmacy standards.
- Collaboration with other Health Care professionals.
- Be Kind and Understanding with patients.
Compensation: $60 - $70 / hour based on experience.
