Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and provide accurate price quotations, take customer orders, and manage them through to successful completion, with a strong focus on growing the customer base through proactive sales and business development.
  • Work closely with the other managers and provide support to the transport team and clients to ensure customer expectations and agreed service standards are consistently exceeded.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a telephone-based role, with confidence handling customer conversations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a clear understanding of why accuracy is critical (essential).
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and confident telephone manner (essential).
  • Ability to communicate effectively via email, demonstrating clear and appropriate language use.
  • A solid understanding of customer needs and the ability to respond accordingly.
  • Proven capability to turn enquiries and conversations into sales opportunities.
  • A proactive, results-driven attitude with a desire to contribute to business growth.
  • Experience using a variety of IT systems efficiently (essential), previous use of Inspire Hire or Syrinx is desirable.
  • Knowledge of plant hire and tool hire equipment.
  • 2 years + experience in a hire desk position.

This is a demanding yet rewarding position, offering excellent opportunities for development within a rapidly expanding business.

Please note this is a Monday - Friday office position, you will not be able to work from home, you must also be able to pass a full criminal record clearance check due to potentially needing to become an Airside pass holder at Heathrow.
