The Role As a CNC Programmer, you'll take ownership of your work from drawing through to finished component, programming, setting and operating your own jobs while producing precision engineered parts to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include: Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling or CNC Turning machines Online programming using Haas or Fanuc controls Offline programming using OneCNC (experience with other CADCAM software will also be considered) Producing complex precision machined components to tight tolerances Manufacturing prototype, one-off, low-volume and production batch components Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Selecting tooling and machining strategies Inspecting your own work to ensure the highest quality standards Working closely with the engineering team to support continuous improvement We're Looking For Previous experience as a CNC Programmer within Precision Engineering A background in either CNC Milling (3- and 4-axis) or CNC Turning (2-axis fixed head or Multi-Axis) Confident online programming, setting and operating experience Experience with offline programming using OneCNC or similar CADCAM software Experience using Haas or Fanuc controls Ability to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances Excellent attention to detail and quality A proactive approach with pride in producing exceptional work Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: 5 Axis CNC Milling Multi-Axis CNC Turning Prototype machining Precision subcontract machining Continuous improvement initiatives What You'll Receive Excellent remuneration available (DOE) Overtime paid at 1.5x Profit-related bonus 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Company pension Early finish every Friday Modern, clean and well-equipped machine shop Investment in the latest machining technology Interesting, varied precision engineering work Long-term career stability Supportive, highly skilled engineering team Why Join?
