CNC Miller / CNC Programmer Setter Operator
Location: Nottingham / Derby area
Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour

CNC Miller Role Overview
A well-established precision engineering subcontract manufacturer is looking to recruit a CNC Miller / CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join their busy CNC machining team. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, primarily XYZ CNC Mills using Prototrak controls, producing precision machined components from engineering drawings.
This role would suit an experienced CNC Miller, CNC Milling Machinist or CNC Programmer with strong experience in 3-axis CNC machining within a precision engineering environment.
CNC Milling Responsibilities
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Machining components using 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Working with XYZ CNC Mills using Prototrak controls
- Editing and adjusting CNC programs
- Selecting tooling and setting machine offsets
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
Machines & Controls - Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- XYZ CNC Mills Prototrak
- Brother CNC machining centres Fanuc controls
- Haas CNC milling machines
- 4-axis or 5-axis machining advantageous
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm (early finish)
