You’ll join a well-established precision engineering business investing heavily in modern CNC lathes, sub-spindle technology and engineer development, with a structured 5-year training plan to take you from Setter Operator to Programmer.
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting and operating CNC lathes (2-axis, multi-axis or sub-spindle)
- Working with Fanuc controls (or similar - G-code / M-code essential)
- Learning CNC programming (online & offline)
- Training into CADCAM / offline programming
- Working from complex engineering drawings
- Editing and proving out programs
- Supporting tooling, processes and continuous improvement
- Inspecting your own work to tight tolerances
