Senior Accounts Manager / Accounting Services Senior Manager / Senior Outsourcing Manager
McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a fast-growing Top15 UK Accountancy Firm who are looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Manager/Senior Outsourcing Manager for their team in Buckinghamshire. Reporting to the Accounting Partner, you will be responsible for managing the department and teams of Qualified & Junior Client Accounts staff. Key duties include:
- Reviewing complex client management accounts prepared by staff for Partner sign-off
- Reviewing complex year-end statutory accounts for UK & International businesses
- Team management of 12+ staff which include experienced Managers & Qualified staff members
- Appraising the Accounting Services team and feeding back to the Partner as necessary
- Managing the Departments workflow and timetabling to ensure all client needs across the firm are met
- Liaising with other Heads of Department that support year-end work including Tax & Audit teams
- Responsible for a small portfolio of large & complex business clients and attendance at client board meetings
- Conducting on-site IT client training for new clients and updates for existing clients
- Point of contact for major clients and other third-party stakeholders, with direct contact at CFO/MD level
- Ensuring all departmental Outsourcing work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm’s WIP & quality standards
To be considered for the role you should be a Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant, ideally degree-educated with comprehensive client delivery & client portfolio management experience. You should have strong staff management skills, have been responsible for team recruitment & training, and you should have ambitious, entrepreneurial and highly-driven character traits. You should also be technically up to date with IFRS & IAS, and an expert user of cloud-based Accounting systems.
On offer is a salary up to £75,000 depending on qualifications and skills with benefits to include company pension, healthcare, 25 days holidays and other flexible benefits.
