McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top40 Accounting Firm who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior/Outsourcing Part-Qualified to join their growing Client Services team in Milton Keynes. Assisting with a portfolio of SME businesses and traders, you will be undertaking bookkeeping, VAT returns and basic management accounts, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone AAT Qualified or Qualified By Experience.
Key duties include:
- Day to day bookkeeping for a range of SME clients as well as assisting with the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Assisting with basic preparation of consolidated financial reporting packs for clients
- Ensuring client entries of financial transactions are correct, advising of corrections or efficiency improvements
- Working with clients, assisting with the implementation of accounting systems and solutions
- Responding to internal manager and external client queries on a range of basic financial issues
- Providing basic training to graduates and junior staff on cloud accounting packages – Xero Accounts and Quickbooks
- Visiting clients onsite to help resolve bookkeeping/accounting issues or take on accounts-related projects
- Helping to file year-end statutory accounts with HMRC and Companies House for clients as necessary
- Liaising with Managers to ensure all client accounting work is completed accurately, within budget and on time
To be considered for the Accounts Semi-Senior/Outsourcing Part-Qualified role you should be seeking a firm where wider responsibilities, personal ownership and a broader client base will be made available to you, and knowledge of cloud accounting packages would be a distinct advantage. Experience of working in a Top100 or recognisable local Accountancy Firm is required along with basic client/portfolio management, VAT return preparation skills & bookkeeping experience. You should ideally be AAT Qualified and/or ACCA Part-Qualified, looking to carry on with your studies to full qualification (a study support package is available).
On offer is a salary up to £33,000 depending on relevant experience, 25 days holiday, corporate pension & healthcare schemes, and flexible working/WFH options.
