Accounts Semi-Senior/Outsourcing Part-Qualified
McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top10 Accounting Firm who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior/Outsourcing Part-Qualified to join their growing Client Services team in Cambridge. Assisting with a portfolio of SME businesses and traders, you will be undertaking bookkeeping, VAT returns and basic management accounts, and is a fantastic opportunity alongside studying for AAT or ACCA. Key duties include:
- Day to day bookkeeping for a range of SME clients as well as assisting with the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
• Assisting clients & colleagues with management reporting, including analysis and interpretation of performance against KPI’s
• Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial reporting packs for clients
• Ensuring client entries of financial information is correct, advising of corrections or efficiency improvements
• Working with clients, assisting with the implementation of accounting systems and solutions
• Responding to internal manager and external client queries on a range of basic financial issues.
• Providing basic training to clients on cloud accounting packages – Xero Accounts and Quickbooks - Visiting clients onsite to help resolve bookkeeping/accounting issues or take on accounts-related projects
• Coaching and supervising junior & graduate colleagues within the Outsourcing team
• Helping to file taxes and statutory accounts with HMRC and Companies House for clients as necessary
• Liaising with Managers to ensure all client accounting work is completed accurately, within budget and on time
To be considered for the Accounts Semi-Senior/Outsourcing Part-Qualified role you should be seeking a firm where wider responsibilities, personal ownership and a broader client base will be made available to you, and knowledge of cloud accounting packages (ideally Xero) would be a distinct advantage. Experience of working in a Top100 or recognisable local Accountancy Firm is required along with basic client/portfolio management, VAT return preparation skills & bookkeeping experience. You should ideally be AAT Qualified and/or ACCA Part-Qualified, looking to carry on with your studies to full qualification (a study support package is available).
On offer is a salary up to £35,000 depending on relevant experience, ACCA study package, 23 days holiday, corporate pension & healthcare schemes, and flexible working/WFH options.
