Job Description Accounts Senior / Accounts Asst Manager – SUPERB ROLE McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a fast-growing Top30 Accountancy Practice who are looking to strengthen their Rural Business Client Accounts team and recruit a Qualified ACA or Qualified ACCA Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager for their growing offices near Cheltenham. Working within the farming, agriculture & rural estates team, it is a client-focused accountancy and advisory role reporting to one of the Accounting Managers. Delivering expert accountancy and tax guidance to farmers, landowners and related agri-businesses across the UK. Managing your own client portfolio which may include agricultural enterprises, rural estates and landowners, food production and agribusinesses, farming and equestrian businesses. Overseeing the preparation, completion and analysis of annual accounts and business tax computations. Advising clients within the farming sector on capital taxes and review of VAT returns. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value, both in respect of tax planning and broader commercial objectives. Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team. To be considered for the role which will typically be 60% Accounts and 40% Tax/VAT, you should be a Qualified ACA or Qualified ACCA Accountant, ideally with 2+ years experience in the agricultural and rural business sector. Sound working knowledge of Excel, Xero and Sage is also required. On offer is a salary up to £55,000 depending on qualification and experience, with benefits to include company pension, healthcare and 25 days holiday. The firm will happily consider candidates who may be interested in relocating to the Cheltenham/Gloucester/Bristol area from other parts of the UK.
